ok so i bought a macbook air the other day.

as you'd expect, the whole startup process begins where you choose language etc, and begin setting up your new mac.

what also appears is the migration assistant tool which asks if you have another mac to sync up to your new macbook air.

the thing is, i DO have an imac which i very much want to sync up with my MBA, but when I chose to do so it was going to take a lot of hours and all I wanted to do was use my new notebook. so i cancelled the transfer.

i then continued to setup the macbook air as normal, entering a username/password etc. so now i have a normal fully set up macbook air with the basics on.

however, i now want to get rid of the current settings and do a full sync up with my imac, but when i goto migration assistant i'm unable to choose everything i could previously. I can only choose my user settings to transfer and no longer can I choose Applications etc.

Does anybody know how to do this?

basically what im asking is HOW TO I START OVER AGAIN WITH MY MACBOOK AIR?

cheers.
