Help with sharing Internet from MacBook Pro 10.11.1 to G5 Tiger.

Hey everyone,

I'm trying to share my Internet from my 2012 MacBook Pro running 10.11.1 through Ethernet to my G5 quad. It's saying connected on my G5 quad but is not pulling down data through my browser. Are there any troubleshooting tips I should try?

Edit. G5 running tiger. Planning on upgrading to lepoard. Want to be able to download the 10.5.8 update after install.

Why not just hook up your Ethernet cable directly to your G5?

That's ultimately what I ended up doing. Unfortunately the airport extreme we share for the house is several rooms away. So I purchased an airport express and used it as a bridge for Ethernet in my room. Having a wired connection is nice. 190 Mbps.

Try doing some research on ssh, you should be able to open a unix console in your mac
