Don't Get Latest Version Of Skype 2.8.0.851

I think this is common... happened to me and others... It's due to the latest version of Skype for mac...

Here's a page with previous versions. I'm about to try 2.8.0.659. I'll check it out and let you know.

EDIT: Well, that didn't work - gonna try 2.7....

EDIT: OK! 2.7 works! I was able to sign in. Fwew!

It's NOT your Mac!

EDIT: Fully delete Skype before getting 2.7. And, go into library - application support -- Then delete the Skype folder. Then go ahead and in stall 2.7.

Skype

Well i'm using Skype version 2.8.0.851 and have no problems with it.
I can contact friends who use windows as well as Macs.
Admittedly I'm only using Skype's software which is free.
Could it be that you need a good broadband connection?

Skype not working

I just received my first macbook pro today (converted from pc) and tried installing skype. it would install but would not let me log in. I installed the newest version and skype 2.7 and still no log in.

Any other ideas? I'm still trying to get used to my new mbp :D
