I don't have a cooling pad yet but eventually plan on buying one so in the meantime I've been trying to use smcFanControl to keep my MacBook Pro cooler.

Anyways, I have version 2.2.2 & I'm having a problem where I set the Left & right fans both to 3500 RPM, save the setting but nothing happens. I can't hear the fan becoming louder and still relatively warm.

Is there something I'm missing? Much help is appreciated.

Okay I will do that and hopefully it'll work. I'll post screens if I can later on with my iStat and smcFanControl.

Also one last thing, me having version 2.2.2 of smcFanControl..does that matter in anyway, any better version?

2.2.2 is the newest one. Works without problems in my iMac
