Help with syncing music?

I have exceeded the memory while copying songs in my iphone 3gs. Now, there are no songs when I browse through my phone, when I connect the phone to itunes in PC, it shows 5.8Gb songs in a highlighted list, I'm not able to delete or listen to this list even from the PC. When I try copying music now, nothing happens. How do I copy music now to my iphone? How do I get rid of that virtual list?
