help with text boxes in Pages

How do I make it so that the text box doesn't allow whats behind to be visible. Also how do you change the back ground color of the text box? thanks

Open the Inspector and select the text box. Click on the Inspector's Graphics tab and you can select the fill colour from there.

send to back or go backward if you've already done it
also it is in arrange up top
