Hey, everybody what's up. I've had my Aluminum MacBook since Dec 2008 and the last time I did a clean install was August of 2009 when Snow Leopard came out. It's been about eight months and my Mac is starting to feel a little bit slower. Not a lot, but too a person that spends a lot of time on the computer, the difference is noticable. My question is if I do I clean wipe of my system and re-install OSX Snow Leopard will I be able to recover all my programs, documents and preferences from my time machine back-up, or is Time machine only for when you lose something and you need it back. I know this sounds like a stupid question, but I just don't know what to do.

Thanks for reading!

Yes, at the end of installation it asks if you want to transfer something so select yes and from Time Machine backup
