help with unlimited hack

I have had a couple of iphone 4's (returned and reissued) and have an old iphone 3.

If I remove the sim card from one of these and insert it in my ipad, will I be able to possibly get unlimited data. I should note that the phone number on the sim is active on my new Iphone 4.

I wasn't sure which sim would work on the ipad, and if this idea would even help. Thanks in advance for the advice.

If the SIM card is active and tight to an unlimited plan, them you will be using your data from that plan. All you need to do is to change the APN settings, I don't remember from the top of my head to what exactly but a quick google search for APN ipad will give you the answer

Thanks for the help. I should have been clearer. The sim cards from the old iPhones are not active. I guess I have to remove the active card from the active phone. The old cards won't work ?
