Help with using 360 controller for my mac!

I use Crossover Games to play Project64, the N64 emulator on my Macbook Pro. I have a wired xbox 360 controller and I want to use that to play instead of using the keyboard for games. I have downloaded Gamepad Companion and Xbox 360 Controllers, they show up in my system prefences, and the 360 Controller shows up but When i go into Project64 and try to configure the controller settings, the controller does not show up. Does anybody have any ideas or ways to solver my problem so I can use my 360 controller for games
