Help with wallpaper

I am trying to make my own theme. I can successfully add my dock and icons. When I try to add the wallpaper it just shows up as black, like its not there. I created a folder for my theme and put the wallpaper in there as Wallpaper.png it is 320X480. What am I doing wrong? Does the wallpaper need to be in it's own folder?
