Hullo lads,

I remember reading how some of the forumers have managed to get win7 64bit running in their first gens and finally found some time to get around to it.

I've managed to install it on one of my hd and it boots fine. I then installed the bootcamp64 msi package from the SL disc. The problem is upon reboots, I get to the starting windows animation before the screen goes black. I can hear the startup chime to desktop but can't get anything on the screen. On my first successful foray to the desktop, I found that my apple 5770 card is not being detected. Any installs of apple software updates and the bootcamp64 package will lead to the black screen upon reboot. I'm using a 30" acd and it handles 10.6.8 and my xp pro 32bit fine.

Looking and hoping hard for suggestions to make it right. Thanks!

UPDATE: finally got it working with the proper drivers from ATI. Ta!
