iPod touch help!

my ipod touch 3 just went blank screen so i did the recovery and got the connect to itunes pic. but as i try to connect to itunes it tells me its locked i have to put in passcode how do i do that on my ipod when all i can get is the connect screen? thank you for any help, lizzie

In future consider naming your threads more appropriately.

What you need to do is put your device into DFU mode.

A simple Google search shows how to do this,

Don't worry if you cant see anything on the screen, the iPod should still go into this mode.

When you have done that. connect the iPod to iTunes and try again to restore.
