Any help is greatly appreciated!!!!

I have an iPod tough 2nd gen that my friend got wet then let dry, and now it will not work. I was wondering if it may be the lcd, there is also this blue rust like stuff on some screws and circuts. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if it is fried or if it is savable. Also when i plug it in and try to restore it, it says "ineligible for requested build". I included pics of the damage.
Any help is greatly appreciated!!!!

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPod; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8C148 Safari/6533.18.5)

it's gone. buy a new ipod touch. Then remember that water does not play well with electronics.
