My girlfriend deleted my home folder, and apparently clicked on the option to save my files. BUT the files are nowhere to be found! The disk image of my deleted self is nearly empty, but the hard drive space indicates that they are there somewhere.

So where are my files?

Try spotlighting your username.

And maybe next time be a little more specific in the thread title ;).

Do you mean she deleted your user account? If so, then she may have saved the data into a "deleted user" directory, which OS X will ask about. At least this sounds like what you are saying.

Otherwise, it could all still be in the Trash.

Not sure what you mean by the "disk image of my deleted self"

Deleted accounts are put in the "/Users/Deleted Users" directory (unless the "Delete Immediately" option was selected at the time the user was deleted which if that is the case your files are gone for good).
