i have a new iMac, and have been unsuccessfully trying to copy the music content from my Nano to iTunes.

when i first hooked it up i had to authorise the nano to be used with my new machine, but i cannot get the music across.

the only option seems to be synch them both (iMac and Nano) but a message appears saying that music will be deleted from the nano and replaced with the contents of iTunes (its totally empty..which of course i dont want to happen)

any ideas?

For anti-pirating reasons, Apple hasn't included a feature to make this easy for you. Instead, try an app like Senuti to get the music back off your iPod. :)
