I tried to install Win XP using bootcamp in Leopard. It said my disk was not valid. I don't know why, it's a full Win XP Pro version....anyway now it will not do anything. It says non bootable device and it won't let me even load the restore disks. What can I do?

I just want my Leopard back.

Turn the computer off and then turn it on again, while holding down the ALT key. Eventually it should show you 2 bootable 'disks'. Select the Macintosh one.

When installing Windows make sure that you fully format the windows partition (dont do a quick format). I had the same problem with my MAC PRO and doing this solved the problem.

i love you...that worked. i think i grew some new gray hairs over this. wow!

thanks again.

ok...i thought i had it fixed. i can only get it to boot while holding the alt key down. i have deleted the bootcamp partition, but still get the "no boot device" message on bootup.
any help?

ok...i fixed it. went into startup disk and re-selected my hdd as my startup drive.
