Does anyone know where to find apple app distribution? Is it free? I heard its an application that can make apps for you ipod touch/iphone is that true?

It is the App Store. If you have a 1st Generation touch, you must buy it from iTunes. If you want to make your own, search for iPhone SDK, it only runs on XCode on an Intel Mac.
