I have an iPod touch 2g that was jailbroke using jailbreakme.com. After a few days it crashed. I went to restore it and iTunes won't recognize it so I can't even put it in DFU mode. Because mother one of the buttons work. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance.

Love and I need somebody to help me fix my kids iPod. Haha

You don't need iTunes to put the pod in DFU mode.

Plug the pod up to the computer.
Quit iTunes.
Press and hold the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button at the same time for exactly 10 seconds.
Then release the Sleep/Wake button and continue holding the home button for another 10 seconds.
Open iTunes.

That should work.
