Helpful or necessary Apps for OSX

Well later this December I’m going from PC to MacBook Pro and therefore OS X. I’m very familiar with the basics related to needed and/or helpful software for Windows. Not so much with OS X. I already have Office 2008 for Mac, downloaded Cyberduck, will download Firefox, have AppZapper.

What are other apps. I should get in preparation for the new Mac? Thanks!
