Helping cognitively impaired elderly

my mother struggles with her iPhone and iPad. I am trying to help her remotely. I understand some of her difficulties because I had a stroke and experienced problems using iOS devices shortly thereafter. I had a hard time finding my way around, so I started using Siri and set up assistive touch. I also rely more on spotlight search.


Are there any iOS screen sharing apps that I can use to take over her iPad to set things up her or help troubleshoot?
Does anyone have any other pointers or suggestions?

Will settings restore from backup? If so, you could restore her backup to your phone, set it up, and then have her restore it to her phone.
