Hello all.

I recently bought a Henge dock. All is well, save for the most important part....the display!! On my laptop, external displays a driven via Thunderbolt/MDP. (Mini Displayport)

My current MDP to HDMI cables are too fat to slide into the guides on the Henge's base.

Here is the cable I have now http://www.amazon.com/Mini-DisplayPort-Adapter-female-Cable/dp/B0025V2VO0

The "neck" around the MDP end of the cable is too fat/the wrong shape.

Anyone know of any really really slim MDP to HDMI cables? Any Henge owners have a solution?

Thanks!

Reason it isn't fitting, as you might have guessed is that it isn't the official one (henge docks most likely built the henge base around official apple products) . One way I believe you can get it to fit is to sand down the edges of the "neck" or you can try and buy a chinese knockoff of the original MDP to HDMI or just buy an official one

Apple does not have an "Official" MDP to HDMI....no such adapter exists with Apple's name on it.

As usual, Macrumors to the rescue. Thanks everyone!

I like the Griffin MDP to HDMI adapter. It is really small comparatively, and works well. It also comes with a male HDMI to female DVI adapter.

[/QUOTE] I've got it coming in t...ty of spare sander pads... Thanks again!

I've got it coming in the mail now. Looks like a fit. If not, I've got plenty of spare sander pads...

Thanks again!

Glad I could help. Hope it works out for what you have planned!

I want to purchase a henge dock for my 13' Macbook Pro. I have some questions:

How do you deal the fact that when you put the mac into the dock with the lid closed, it goes to sleep. Do you loose your connection with the apple keyboard or magic mouse ? If yes, how do you manage to see something on your external display ?

Thanks !

The Mac will wake upon connecting to the devices, being operated in clamshell mode.
