Apple and its content partners are working on new immersive films designed for the Vision Pro headset, including sports, travel, music, and nature-themed films. Immersive video is a major selling point of the Vision Pro, because it makes you feel like you're in the middle of the action.

Tour De Force from CANAL+ and MotoGP is available today through the Apple TV app, and can be watched on the Vision Pro. Apple retail locations will be providing an extended preview starting next month, so if you don't have a Vision Pro, you can visit an Apple Store to watch.

Tour De Force follows MotoGP rider Johann Zarco, documenting his win of the French Grand Prix at Le Mans in May 2025. It was filmed using four of Blackmagic Design's URSA Cine Immersive cameras, paired with ambisonic microphones for spatial audio.

Later this year, Apple will debut World of Red Bull, a new sports-themed series. The first episode coming in December will feature backcountry skiing, while the second coming in 2026 will highlight big-wave surfing.

This October, Apple Vision Pro users will be able to watch Julaymba, a documentary that features the Daintree Rainforest of North Tropical Queensland, Australia. A new series from CNN's Bill Weir will feature a scientific expedition to Antarctica to find emperor penguins next spring.

Experience Paris, a travel film, will include visits to a three-Michelin-star kitchen, the Eiffel Tower, and Montmartre's historic streets. For music-related content, Apple this fall will debut a film on BBC Proms, a classical music festival, and a film featuring K-pop boy band CORTIS.

Several of Apple's existing Immersive Video series are also getting new updates, including Wild Life and Elevated.

Apple Vision Pro can be purchased in Australia, Canada, China, Hong Kong, France, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, the UAE, the UK, and the U.S.

Apple's feature films should also have immersive version. And why is Apple not doing immersive video on their MLS package?

Apple should be investing in concerts and sports game and other live events like that, set up a 360 camera right in front of center stage or right at half court or on the 50 yard line etc etc and make it an Apple Vision Pro exclusive. Should be free for the first few years or part of iCloud+, just something to try to get adoption and justify the cost. I think it could do well and get people talking.

OK but live immersive sports when?

Apple, you have a goldmine available in live immersive sports. I suggest you use it.

Yeah, I tried a demo at a store for the first time the other day. It's actually pretty impressive for what you can see. It's also expensive and uncomfortable, and you end up watching stuff alone, unless you want to spend $7k to time it right and watch a movie with one other person. There's privacy, loneliness, and incredible 3D for lots of $$

how would that ever be possible. you can't shoot a movie both ways... and anything long would just be absurd cost. hell studios don't even make real 3d movies anymore

Hopefully F1 if Apple gets the rights. But I agree, this is a big missing at the moment.

I know it's not strictly "immersive video", but F1 on AVP is incredible in terms of immersion (video feeds, 3D track, onboards etc). The only way I watch F1 these days.

I use mine pretty much as a replacement to movie theaters. The experience is superior in every way. The weight of the headset is less annoying than people talking, making noise, and I think I’m now even on the cost of the AVP by way of the concession stand savings. 😅
and if you get an annapro 2 or similar strap ya forget the weight was ever an issue. I love mine so much. every tv show is like being in a theater

Is this immersive video content free for VP owners? There's no mention of a charge for it, so I assume it is free...
If U2 ever releases a video of their Sphere concert for the VP or if I could watch the Masters golf tournament on it, I would buy one today.

Instead of content providers lining up to produce content for Apple Vision Pro, Apple has to pay providers to come make videos for their platform. Anyone else think this is kinda pathetic and sad? Apple didn't have to incentivize anyone to come make apps for iPhone, iPad, etc. The market was there immediately. It's difficult to characterize the Apple Vision Pro as anything but a flop by Apple standards. And probably by many other standards, as well.

They need to cut the price and make it more comfortable. How do you do that? cut the weight, cut the front screen, and cut the M chip. Keep the R chip and have the processing power and system power run off of whatever Apple product it is plugged into via USB-C. Probably needs to be limited to device that support USB 3.0. Thunderbolt would be even better but iPhone Pro doesn't support that. But this thing desperately needs to be an accessory and not the entire computer. Or at least have an Air version that is an accessory and not the entire computer. $999.

Perhaps in the future they could have a proprietary high speed wireless interconnect using the Apple N series chip. The issue I see is there is no shot some future Apple Glasses are going to be able to do anything processor intensive in the next 10 years while being lightweight and stylish looking more like regular glasses. Not with near-future chip and battery tech. They should be an accessory to the iPhone like the Apple Watch and you wear it out with your iPhone. I know they desperately want it to be a separate computer but I just don't think that is feasible for quite some time.

Until then I would absolutely love to have a Vision Air Thunderbolt device that I can plug into my MacBook Pro for multiple virtual displays and plug into my iPad Pro while traveling to have a mobile movie theater on a plane while only paying $999 for something that is lightweight and comfortable. For me the biggest two use cases are extending my Mac display and consuming content. With my AirPods Pro 3 and the crazy ANC I could just shut out the entire world on a plane and be deeply immersed with a Vision Air!

Would like to see at least 2D versions of these videos considering that Vision Pro is not yet available in my country. Expecting the next Vision device to have a wider availability.
