I’ve been with Verizon Business for twenty six years, a very long time. Wanted to take advantage of a deal that I worked out with Verizon, got the agreement on a copied chat log AND an email with all the agreed upon details. They gave me a tentative ship date three weeks after the deal was agreed upon. The same day they shipped, Verizon changed the deal, NOT to my advantage, far from it. After repeated calls to Verizon Financial, asking for a supervisor, as usual, was told they’ll call within a couple of hours. I cannot remember the last time a VZ supervisor ever called me back!
I then got on to the business account portal and sent VZ two secure messages. It was posted they’d get back to me within 24 hours. NOTHING the last 72 hours. I spoke with a VZ Business Representative who looked into what was going on, she confirmed that VZ changed the deal! She attempted to get her supervisor on the phone with us but the supervisor hid behind her own, off phone. They gave me two alternatives to the deal they changed, BOTH WERE NOT GUARANTEED. I told the rep, posted on the portal that I will REFUSE the FedEx phone delivery on Tuesday, tomorrow.
I’m posting here because for years, I use Verizon due to the strength of their cellular service in the rural West and here throughout Colorado. This is the only reason I’ve remained with Verizon all these years. Bottom line… VZ lied to me numerous times, committed an act of fraud, changing the agreement that is documented in writing! And they claim that their customer service is the best in the business???
There’s a reason people are leaving Verizon! I tried to make Verizon aware of this, especially from someone who has been with them all these years. I do not trust them any longer! They think they’re untouchable! For the moment, I’ll continue on their network with my iPhone 13 Pro Max. If I want the 17 PM, I’ll buy it from Apple Store nearby. I will monitor possible alternatives to the VZ network. But one thing is for certain… I will never enter into an agreement either for service or device promotion, without getting the agreement locked in and ‘contract’ delivered weeks before a phone is shipped!
In this day of poor service… and quality… Verizon is one of the worst! This from a guy who has had the same cell number for thirty four years. Buyer beware!
