The Combo Touch is notorious for the rubber around the speakers getting loose over time. I did a Google search to see how it would look if it was cut off, but saw no results so decided to just YOLO it. So here you go for those that were curious, you're welcome.

Not gonna lie, it's pretty rough lol. Though to be fair, the initial cut was clean before I mucked it all up trying to even it out. I'm kind of tempted to remove the entire middle section altogether to match the Apple pencil opening, but there's a piece of hard plastic there that could make the transition even worse.

Yeah, I had the issue with that case for my M1 12.9 and switched to the MKB (great move from my perspective). I thought they had fixed this with newer versions that had bracing in the cutouts.

Is that the .atest version? My 12.9” version had that issue.

No, it's the old fabric version. There was an updated fabric version that had precise cutouts, but I hear that also has the same problems.

The latest one uses a different material that's like Apple's silicone covers. It's still new, so time will tell on how this one holds up.

Using a Dremel (or clone) with a small/fine tip was never an option? 🤜🤛🥹
