Here's why the iPod touch pricing doesn't matter to the iPad mini

Ipod touch: 16GB last gen = $199, 32GB = $299
iPas mini: 16GB = $299, 32GB = $399

Now look, iPad mini is more expensive than the iPod touch while it is just $299

The mini doesn't exist at this time, so it's alleged price is just a figment of someone's imagination.

And of course there's now competition. Back in 2007, Apple can just sit on their asses and go 'here's 3G', and people will gobble it up. Now they actually have to listen to demands of people who want android - this is why the iPhone 5 has a 4 inch screen, 4G LTE, A6. Without Android, 4G and the A6's for the iPhone 5S.

Just look at iPhone 4. Shiny new look, one new camera, essentially the same performance as the 3GS.

The nano was half the size of the classic, yet the price was damn near the same as a 120 gb classic. Both were even closer to functionality.

If I'm looking for a pocketable Internet device and music player one would definitely find the iPod touch suiting their needs better than an iPad mini.
