I just received my Hermes Apple Watch 7. When I press the side button (just underneath the digital crown), it makes a clicky sound as it is releasing and it's kinda annoying. Even if I don't press the button and just gently tap on it, it makes that sound. I don't recall my previous watches being like this.
Is this normal for stainless steel/hermes models?

No.

It's too sad when you wait for your watch and it arrives faulty. Knowing that wait list are so long at the moment. I was extremely worried myself that I would receive a faulty watch or watch band. Really feeling your pain. ?

That’s why I never wait for my Apple products… I always reserve pick up from Apple Store. But I know that Hermes edition is not easy to get.

Just listened to my Hermes S7 compared to my SSG S5 and it is louder, but not too loud I think.

Yours does sound louder than mine, but you've got me paranoid now.

It's so annoying! At least now I don't have to baby it knowing it's defective. I don't think I'll return it because I'm too lazy to send it back to Hermes and order & wait for a new one. I'm terrible at waiting. I'll just use it for a year and have it replaced using Apple Care Plus. Hopefully with usage it makes less clicky noise.

I don’t think its defective. It may just be loser than other modals. If it was defective it would not even work. I get how annoying it is, but as long as it functions, that is what is important. My last series 6 Hermes was clicky too, and I actually didn’t even think twice about it, and it never effected the functionality. I would recommend changing it if it bothers you. The good thing is the Hermes watches do have the 2 year warranty.

I have this on a new SS series 8, did you end up keeping the watch? Did it Ever affect the functionality of the button as time went on, or was it just the clicky sound? Thanks!
