Hers's strange one - anyone else with his problem?

iOs 8.1, iphone 6.
I turn my phone overnight.
Im a bit lazy so i plug it into to lightning cable to turn it on. after if it boots up > no sound. I turn it off an on again, sound OK.
I've found when I turn it on 'normally' from being off overnight, all is fine, when it turns on with lightning cable its not.
Not major issue, but interested to see if `anyone else has noticed this
