Hi All

I have been shooting 4K 30fps on my iphone 8 plus for a few weeks now and use icloud photo library. When i access my videos on my 2015 macbook the 4k ones have clearly been compressed heavily and playback very low resolution. If i drag the file to my desktop its usual;y around 10mb (the original should be around 90mb) so I know its being compressed.

If i export the video within the photos app and make sure unmodified original is selection it plays back full quality and file size.

Any suggestions? Ideally i would like my 4K full sizes files in HEVC format to playback full res within the photos app as this is where i view all my media.

Just tested this. I have 4k30 video from my iPad Pro. Shot in HEVC. If I export it by drag and drop it creates an h264 file that is visually close to the unmodified original and about 10mb larger. It is certainly giving me the original file when I export, and behaving as I expect.
