Hex core chips

Hi all, The w36xx chips have become hard to find. I was checking whether prices for those chips were going down since nMP has been announced, but was surprised to see that newegg and others ran out of stock for those procs. Does that mean that those of us who were planning to upgrade their SP MP next year are out of luck and will have to stick with the base quad core?!

They have been discontinued so the odds of finding new ones will be slim to none. Used ones can be found on Ebay.

I got my 3680s on eBay last week. The whole process couldn't have been smoother (after years of avoid eBay).

Too bad you don't have privileges to the marketplace on this site. Someone has a 3680 3.33ghz 6 core for $500 and are based in Canada.
