Okay, so I bought my black 30GB 5G iPod around November 15th of 2005, now I have had no problems with it up until recently I noticed a bunch of dead pixels on the right center portion of the screen (well at least I think they are dead pixels, they are black/gray and only appear when the backlight is on), I was in a rush so I didn't make much of it, when I returned and turned on my iPod I noticed it had a whole line across the center apart from the bunch of them I noticed earlier (the line was not present then), I tried slightly pushing and trying to "wake up" the pixels, that got rid of some of them but not all, anything I can do? Will restoring firmware be a waste of time? Should I call Apple or will that be a waste of time too? Anything I can do? Any pixel massaging to do?

Thanks, I'll post a picture later. I'll restore firmware and let the video flashy video thing run for a while, will report back later.
