Indeed "any iPod is a good iPod". My goal is to now upgrade my iPod to its max and id like to say i like being able to bring my iPod anywhere without a docking station but all and all there has to be something i could do to let my iPod do more of what the newer one can. ive heard of hackers in Germany who have created an operating sysytem on the older version but no doubt they have moved on. If a freakin calculator can play tetris my iPod should be able to atleast. Understood though it wasnt ment for that and completes its original purpose without flaw minus the accasional clicking noise that is heard during play of some tracks but that might be computer not iPod problem.:D

A corollary, a working iPod is better than no iPod. My iBook doesn’t have Firewire, so it is unlikely I will get an iPod until I can upgrade my iBook.
