I desperately need advice...i jailbroke my 3.1.3 ipod using spirit, after downloading and installing an app i tried opening it, but after a few seconds it would close...HELP PLEASE!!

If it's just the app closing, delete it and reinstall it.

And DO NOT blame Apple.

happens to me too, try reinstalling it again

Delete it and redownload it, is there a reason you cant?

Btw, probably a more descriptive post title would lead to more responses.
