Sometimes i feel i am screaming at my phone for it to "hear" me say "hey siri" I thought it would listen better even when its off, but sometimes i find myself pressing the button. Anyone else?
If it never responded when locked, I would say you need to turn on the option to allow Siri from the lockscreen, but only sometimes? I dunno, it works very well for me.

I notice that the range has decreased with the new feature. Use to get Hey Siri to work from a good distance away (across the room).

you need to be really close IMO. How do you let siri work from lock screen? is that an option

I had it completely stop. I mean - just gone. Dead. So I turned off Siri and turned Siri back on. Still dead. Then I turned off Hey Siri and turned it back on. At that point I had to train Siri again - but since then it's worked perfectly. EXCEPT when my Watch jumps in there, haha, maybe I'll turn off Hey Siri on the Watch - it's laggy as hell anyway.

Also learned if your screen is laying face down on a desk it doesn't work, kinda neat feature.

I have the 6 plus. For me, I have to get close. Even if I'm standing a few feet away it will not activate.

It happened to me once. Would not wake up even though I was literally inches from the phone. So I did it manually by holding the home button and ever since then, Hey Siri has worked.

It does have trouble picking up my voice while I'm driving though since my car isn't the quietest. My Moto X was better at it.

It has been a tad inconsistent for me from a locked phone. Tried showing off the "Hey Siri" feature and got no response. Working good since then though.

For me it works a lot of times but sometimes I am screaming at it and it won't activate. Then I wake it up and say it and it works. Is this maybe a bug and 9.1 fixes it. Doesn't 9.1 have some sort of Siri feature.

I was getting so frustrated when it wouldn't activate when the screen was off. Then I realized the watch was the one being sctivates

My watch wasn't on me or near me can't be that. Maybe it's that I don't annunciate

No, 9.1 doesn't fix it (at least with beta 3) and for some reason, I'm having additional Siri issues.

Works great on my 6s+ from 6 feet out no problem. Have not had an issue with it yet. I can speak at normal volume too. Didn't know about the upside down thing. That's pretty neat.

Maybe some haven't trained Siri for their voice. I know that can cause issues.

Doesn't work all the time, I need to be very close to my 6s Plus to get it to work most times, and even then sometimes it takes another "Hey, Siri" to wake her up and put her to work.

Ice has this happen too. I find that it helps to not just say "Hey Siri" and then wait for a response. Just say "hey Siri" and the. Immediate continue with your query or request. That has fixed 9/10 issues for me. I'm annoyed there's no audible feedback though. I'd love to knownsiri is listening when I expect it.
