HomePod "Hey Siri, Give Me My Update..."

I usually start my mornings with this and Siri gives me the current temperature/weather, my meeting schedule....and then the part I love, it says, "..and now, the latest from NPR News..." where it continues to give me the top few stories of the day.

But it hasn't done that this week...i simply stops at, "...and now..."

Anyone else? Not sure where else to check why this is even happening. Thanks!

15.1 appears to have broken the podcast integration on HomePods. OG And Minis now can’t play the latest news if you ask Siri to play the latest news. They both say "Sorry, there was a problem with Apple Podcasts." Tried restarting and it doesn't resolve the issue. I can't find any settings in...

I too have this problem on my HomePod and three HomePod mini's. My news provider is ABC (Australia) but I guess the problem is more around PodCasts. Have a call booked with AppleCare on Saturday morning.

I hear it fixes Podcasts and some other issues.

It does not fix the "what's my update..." issue as the news will still not play after the normal personal updates are mentioned.

Agreed, same problem. I can ask for the news and it's fine but "what's my update" still stops just after "and now..."

Looks like it is finally fixed! I'm in touch with what is going on in the outside world again!

I did phone AppleCare on 6 November and I am still troubleshooting with them (the issued was escalated to engineering in the US) over my issue as it’s unresolved for me. But I am glad it appears it’s coming back to life elsewhere!

Same thing here. I get the weather, time calendar items etc. followed by "and now...". Then nothing. Always something with each new update. This is pretty minor considering all the problems that were fixed with version 15.1.1.

Mine started working each and every time I used "what's my update" after I logged a call with AppleCare about one month ago. Hasn't missed a beat? Running 15.1.1.
