The 'hey Siri' feature responded to a voice that wasn't mine. I've heard this happening to people before that Siri can be activated by a TV or podcast or anything that happens to say "Hey Siri" or something that sounds like it.

Personally, I've never had that happen to me on any device I've had before until yesterday after installing iOS 16. I was watching a TV show and a character said "Hey Siri, resume my music" and Siri on my iPhone actually responded and started playing music. Just to make sure I wasn't crazy, I replayed that part of the TV show again to make sure that Siri was, in fact, responding to the character's voice in the TV show and it was.

I had to reset the "Hey Siri" and from that point, it didn't respond to the character TV show anymore and only responded to my voice.

I just wanted to put this out there in case anyone has not come across the issue yet.

This has happened to me from time to time on previous incarnations of iOS. I have had a regular podcast I listen to set Siri off a few times on words that weren't even SIRI but were apparently close enough. (Also, whenever my co-worker Sarah would phone, saying "Hi Sarah" to her on the phone set off my Siri.)
