"Hey Siri!" not working with iPhone X Leather Folio.

So I just noticed the "Hey Siri!" voice command no longer works when my leather folio is closed on my iPhone X. Is this intended or maybe an oversight?

I admit I don't use it often, but it's nice to know it's available if I'm ever in an emergency and can't reach my phone.

I don't think it is necessarily the case. My X doesn't have a case and Siri is rubbish. If I speak in a stern voice, almost angrily, I get intermittent responses.
