For those who have both a HomePod and a HomePod mini, how fast is "Hey Siri" on the HomePod mini? Is it faster on the mini?

Too ambiguous a question. In what context?
Two areas:
1. Does it take the HomePod mini more time or less time than the original HomePod to know that you said "Hey Siri"? This would be time from you saying Hey Siri to the acknowledgment of activation
2. Does it take the HomePod mini more or less time than the original HomePod to understand and process a request, such as "Hey Siri, set a timer for 5 minutes"

As soon as you say "Hey Siri" it comes to life. Speed isn't the issue. Volume is the issue.
That's interesting. Isn't the HomePod mini pretty loud (relatively speaking)?

The very first time I turned it on it sounded great. However now the volume is about 30% less, and no matter what I try to do it sounds like a cheap transistor radio. Volume control on top is all the way up. I say "Hey Siri, turn the volume up" and it replies "Volume is at maximum setting".... Might try a hard reset as like I say, it sounded great the very first time it came on....

On the Apple website this is a known issue. Others have complained about it.

There's no difference in both cases.

It wouldn't be a fair comparison because my minis are in the dining room and kitchen and my OG HomePod is right next to my router.
