I bought a new LCD for my iPhone 3GS on ebay. The LCD was advertised as being a 3GS LCD. However, the HF/e1 is a different size and I can't get it to fit into the No.1 socket.

Here is a photo for comparison:

The new LCD on the bottom and the old LCD at the top.

From this picture, can anyone tell whether I have received an incompatible LCD. If not, and the new LCD is compatible, any suggestions to assist in connecting this bit would be appreciated.

Thanks

Same issue

@aryaunderfoot

I'm having the exact same problem. I ordered two replacement LCDs from Amazon for my iPhone 3GS and BOTH came with differently sized #1 connectors than my original. Same as your photo. Did you find a solution to this problem?
