I've been using a 1TB Buffalo drive with my Mac for roughly a year without issue. I use MacDrive to get to my files on a separate Windows PC. But now all of a sudden I can't get my Mac to see drive, either in the Finder or Disk Utility. On Windows it's all fine. I've scoured the web to no avail, does anybody have an idea as to what may be causing this?

After accessing the drive from Windows, did your properly eject it? To make sure, reconnect to Windows, then safely remove the drive before you unplug it.

I tried that too. On my mac now the drive is recognised for short spans of time and then disappears.
