hi there,
i dont know if this is the right place to post this, but here goes....
i was going through files on my HD's and noticed a file called HFSExtentTables. what is this file for? is it needed?

any help is appreciated.

I believe it is the extension to allow Darwin to access the HFS+ and HFS hard drive formats. Othwise, UFS must be used. Do not delete, otherwise you'll have to use OS9.
