What are the disadvantages of keeping a drive journaled? Does the "journal" take up any considerable sum of drive space?

HFS+ Journaled - Disadvantages?

no disadvantages. more advantages. im not quite of the technical details of journaling but i think it allow a better recovery if the disk fails or sectors become corrupt. just leave it as HFS+
