Hi,
I have been looking into recorders. I ran across a brand name:
'Zoom recorders', and I liked them! I got the feeling they may
work out for me. Your opinion, however, would be very helpful
for me, as I am not experienced with recorders.
I am doing photography and shortly I should start doing video.
For this, I will be using a small camera from Sony called the A7.
It has several models. Let's see which one allows me my budget
to get.
The two models I am attracted the most to buy are: the Zoom
H2-N and the Zoom H4-N. The H2-N is very portable, the size
of a a cell phone, fits your hand right; the H4-N is a bit larger,
bulkier. Because of the size, I find it a bit awkward to hold it in
front or close to somebody when doing an interview, even if
there was or wasn't a brief photo session as part of the inter-
view.
With the Sony A7 video feature, I would like to do short docu-
mentaries and interviews. Perhaps for this purpose the H4-N
may be better suited.
The price differece between the two is currently $30 The reason
for that, is perhaps the fact that Zoom has other recorder models
competing with the H4-N.
Is in your view, the H4-N, much better than the H2-N?? Is it
worth it to sacrifice the portability of the H2-N? I don't know
much about other recorders' brand names. Which is your
favorite brand name or which other brand name would you like
to recommend to me besides 'Zoom'?
The Zoom H2-N:

Is my budget kind of small, spending around $169-$199 for
a recorder? Should I record instead with my computer. I
use a 13" MBP.
Thank you in advance, kind regards,
igmolinav : ) !!!
