Hi from a new forthcoming MBP user

Hi folks,

I've been keeping an eye on the forums in lurk mode for quite some time so I thought I better had set up and say hello! I was drawn to this site to follow the current discussion of the new MBP rumours (Montevina Platform / New designs blah blah)...

We are in the process of setting up a musical project which needs two MBPs running in unision (we already have a Penryn MBP), I'm currently deliberating on either buying another Penryn or awaiting the new wave. It's nice to make your acquaintance and best wishes!

Hi Dave and welcome.

My advice would be if you need it buy it. Updated MBPs don't seem to be on the radar at the moment and I don't foresee an update for a few months.

Doesn't hurt to wait until Tuesday though (after WWDC)

agreed, I am ordering my 17" on Tuesday. If they update it within 2 weeks after purchasing it, usually they will be cool with everything and let you trade it in for the new one, only if it is in perfect condition though

haha, kind of funny, i was drawn to mac rumors for the exact same reason!
