hi guys im AJ from edinburgh.

sorry didnt see thread for newbies to say hello hi so im posting here.

i am working as Manager looking after sales and technical side of business.
we sell and repair laptops, desktops, MACS, iPad, iPod, iPhone etc etc

My hobbies are playing with stock market and Cars.

Drive Lexus GS430 and love modifying it.

Don't think of it that way, think of it as 94 people thought you might have a problem or question to ask and, upon investigation, found you didn't and decided to move on.

Howdy, AJ.

I'm switching from the Information Technology industry to accounting. To make ends meet I buy hosed laptops off eBay, fix and sell them. My margin is anywhere from 15% to 50% per unit.
 
well you can say i am now more into management. managing staff and accounts. worked as a technician/engineer for 10 years and now after 10 years of hard work i managed to get Manager / management position.

touch wood our business is doing good with iphone ipod ipad repairs and macbooks etc.

we are much much cheaper than apple in terms of repair prices and there is no apple store in edinburgh :)

Anything is cheaper than Apple repairs. I worked tech support and as a service technician for nine years until I was laid off.
In my opinion, the tech field never was a fit for me. As I take these business and accounting classes I'm actually understanding what's going on. My last test was a 90% so I think I'll go pretty well.

I would love to do that as a thing on the side, but I don't really have the knowledge. I suppose though the Internet is really all I need to change that. Do you learn as you go along or do you find that most of the time these laptops have the same 10 or so problems?
