Hi,

I opened an application called "virtual box" designed by oracle.
It is a virtual machine where I run windows with only some
old dicctionaries. I put in a cd with a dictionary. It worked
fine, but I can't eject it!

Any tips or suggestions are appreciated! I have pressed the
"eject key", closed the application, and reinitiated the equipment
and nothing has worked out!

Thank you in advance, kind regards,

igmolinav

Have you tried restarting your computer? If you used the CD drive in VirtualBox, then it might still be tied to your virtual Windows session.

Hi,

Yes, I did. Sorry, that is what I meant by reinitiated. I'll do it again anyways!

Thank you, kind regards,

Also, try opening virtual box back up and doing this:

Under Devices --> CD/DVD Devices release the device

Hi,

Thank you again : ) !!! Something is preventing the CD
from being ejected! I drag the CD icon to the thrash icon
and it sounds as if it were to be ejected and then it does
not happen!

Kind regards,

igmolinav : ) !!!

In other words, nothing you tried, even the tips linked to in post #4, do work.

I think your cd drive may have died. Bad timing perhaps. I would take it to the apple store. But try this method first. Shut down the computer but when the computer is shutting down hold the eject button. See if that helps.

Hi,

Totally unnoticed to me, the entrance to CD / DVD inlet is a bit "deformed" and it doesn't allow the disc out. I am repairing it.

Thank you again for your concern and help,
