Hi,

I downloaded the 1.1.4 Firmware to restore my iphone. However, when I decompress the zip folder, it converts into another folder with the "ipsw" ending and not into a cube image with the "ipsw" ending. The disadvantage is that the folder has many, many files and to know which one is the one that will help, it's a bit complicated.

Don't unzip it. Leave it as a .ipsw file. If there is a ".zip" at the end, take it off by simply renaming the file and removing the ".zip".

If you downladed it using safari -- do it again with firefox. Safari tries to auto extract everything.

Ahhh i hate the way safari tries to extract everything.. is there a way of disabling this.. sorry i knw off topic but v. irritating.
