iPhone X Hi new here and need some help with Iphone X issues

So I upgraded from my Iphone 7+ Today to an Iphonex and I have been happy until now and just getting really irritated with this thing. My first issue is when I open the music app I get a blank white screen and the thing is basically frozen and won't do anything how do I fix this? The second issue is when I try and view my apple ID through the itunes thing it brings up the face ID deal and then asks me to double tap to continue but when I do that it just boots me to the screen before? Would be really appreciated with help with these two issues.

Before you do anything else, did you restart the phone. After that, if that still doesn’t work, I would backup, wipe and restore.

And if that doesn't work, take it back to Apple and exchange it for anther iPhone X. Overall the phone is great, you may have been the unlucky one with one of the defected versions. Also, update it to the latest firmware. (iOS 11.2.1)

Did you setup as new or from a restore.
My X has been flawless.

I set up where it transferred everything from my 7 over. I didn't restart it but I just did and that cleaned up the music app issue. Thanks.

Try a hard reset first then delete the music app and redownload it see if it fixes that issue.

Are you double taping the screen or power button? You need to double tap the power button if you aren’t.
