Hi-Res or Standard For gaming on the MBP 2011

I'm going to be buying the 15" MBP with the 6750m and I was wondering what people preferred and if the trade off in gaming performance was worth the increased resolution for other tasks such as web browsing, typing documents etc.

The HR screen is well worth it imo. Yes you will suffer some fps, but for daily use, that extra resolution is just so much better on the eyes and you have more space to work with.

Just got done playing WoW on my hi-res 15" I don't regret going hi-res one single bit.

Hi-res = need more power from your GPU. So if you want better experience for gaming chose standard.

I have the last gen HR-AG and I don't regret the option one bit! The sheer day to day usability of my MBP is vastly improved with the higher resolution screen in my opinion. And personally, if I want to game heavily, I've got my tower for that.
