Hi everyone,

I'm a new mac user, as I have been a Windows user nearly my entire life.
One of the things I have been doing is using command+h to hide applications, so then I can command+tab to get it back open, just because that's one of the things I am used to doing on windows machines.
I've noticed when apps are hidden, I never get notifications to pop up in the top right of my screen. Is there a workaround for this?

Thank you in advance!
Jack

You're on a Mac now. Get rid of your old Windows habits. Most of us were at one time Windows users and I know it may be difficult to give up the old ways, but if you want to enjoy your Mac, you have to start cross-training. (as we used to say in the military) ;) :apple:

I have just tested this with Mail on my Mac. CMD + H and then off to send myself an e-mail from my work computer. I got the notification in the Notification Center without a problem.

Which specific apps you are having this problem with?
Also what version of macOS are you running?
You can find that out by click the Apple-menu and then selecting "About my Mac".

I did the test on macOS 10.13.4 (High Sierra)
