You would think auto brightness setting would be under the display and brightness setting but it’s not. when I googled it one suggested to turn off True Tone to stop the auto brightness. I thought to myself this seems kind of dumb because True Tone doesn’t need to be at a specific brightness to work. i did end up finding the auto brightness setting it is sort of hidden under accessibility setting then display and text size then scroll to the bottom and you will see auto brightness setting.
